How to release a Bhojpuri song: Spotify, JioSaavn, playlists and caller tunes

By the SUF Digitals team · Updated

Yes, you can release a Bhojpuri song on Spotify, JioSaavn, YouTube Music, Apple Music and 150+ other stores from anywhere in India. On SUF Digitals you pick Bhojpuri under Most used, upload your master and cover, and caller tunes on Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL come with the release. Below are the steps, the Bhojpuri playlists the stores run, and the seasons to release for.

Yes, you can release your Bhojpuri songs everywhere

About 5.1 crore people gave Bhojpuri as their mother tongue in Census 2011. It is the home language of eastern Uttar Pradesh and western Bihar, a recognised minority language in north-western Jharkhand, and it carries on across the border into Nepal.

The music runs from Bhojiwood, as the film industry is often called, to pop singles and DJ dance tracks, and back to folk forms such as Kajari, Chaita, Biraha and Nirgun. Bhojpuri is also spoken in Mauritius, Suriname, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and South Africa, where it grew styles of its own: Chutney in Trinidad, Baithak Gana in Suriname and Geet Gawai in Mauritius.

One SUF Digitals release sends a Bhojpuri song to Spotify, JioSaavn, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Gaana, Instagram, Facebook and 150+ stores worldwide, with caller tunes on Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL included. The stores list it as Bhojpuri, and JioSaavn and Gaana both carry Bhojpuri as a language of their own.

How to release a Bhojpuri song

Searching for "bhojpuri song upload kaise karen"? Here is the whole process on SUF Digitals, from sign-up to release day.

  1. Create your SUF Digitals account and choose a plan. Plans start at Rs 999 a year before GST, and on every plan you keep 100% of your copyright.
  2. Add your artist name with links to your Spotify and Apple Music profiles. If this is your first release, mark yourself as new to the stores, and your artist pages are created along with it.
  3. Create a release and pick Bhojpuri under Most used in the language picker, for the release and for every track.
  4. Upload a WAV or FLAC master (16 or 24 bit, 44.1 to 96 kHz) and a square 3000 x 3000 pixel cover in JPG or PNG. The free cover art checker runs the same checks first.
  5. Credit the singers, composers, lyricists and producers, declare the rights in each song, and set the release date. From the Rising plan up you choose it; on Debut it is set for you, 7 days after you submit.
  6. Submit. SUF checks every release against the stores' rules before it goes out. On release day, share your free smart link, which opens the song straight in each fan's own music app.

Bhojpuri playlists on Spotify, JioSaavn and Apple Music

Bhojpuri has editorial playlists of its own on Spotify and JioSaavn, built by the stores' own editors, and Apple Music has an artist playlist for one Bhojpuri star. The table below lists the ones we found in October 2026.

From the Pro plan up, SUF pitches your release to the editors at Spotify, Apple Music, JioSaavn, Gaana, Amazon Music and YouTube Music, including the people behind these Bhojpuri lists. A single, an EP or a whole album can be pitched. Lock it at least 14 days before release day, because Spotify only considers songs pitched 7 days or more ahead.

Store-run Bhojpuri playlists, October 2026. Stores rename and retire playlists over time.
StoreEditorial playlists
SpotifyHot Hits Bhojpuri, Trending Now Bhojpuri, Bhojpuri Jabra Hits, Dabangg Bhojpuriya, DJ Tod Bhojpuri, Bhojpuriya Dance
JioSaavnRomantic Hits 2026 - Bhojpuri, Dance Hits 2025 - Bhojpuri, Best Of Indie - Bhojpuri, Party Full On - Bhojpuri, Lallantap Style - Bhojpuri, Best of Retro - Bhojpuri
Apple MusicKhesari Lal Yadav Essentials (an artist playlist curated by Apple Music)

Editors pick every song, so placement is never guaranteed, and SUF never buys streams or playlist spots. Plays and saves from your own fans also feed Release Radar, Daily Mix and Discover Weekly. More on playlist pitching.

Titles, script and spelling

Bhojpuri is written in Devanagari today; Kaithi was used in the past. On the stores, though, the titles in Spotify's Bhojpuri playlists are in Roman letters, and the editors use the spelling Bhojpuriya as well as Bhojpuri.

Follow the same habit. Type your title in Roman letters the way a fan would search for it on a phone, and put the Devanagari title in your release description and your YouTube and Instagram captions.

Your artist name must be in English letters (letters, numbers, spaces and . ' & ( ) - only), spelled one way everywhere: a second spelling becomes a second artist page. Leave YouTube habits out of the store title, with no emoji, no ALL CAPS, no "feat." and none of the promo words Official, Lyrical, Video Song, Latest, New Song or Trending. Credit featured singers in the credits, and keep any words on the cover matching the title and name.

When Bhojpuri songs are in demand

Bhojpuri music follows the calendar closely. Chhath, in October or November, brings Chhath geet in praise of Surya and Chhathi Maiya. Phaguwa, also called Hori, belongs to Phalgun and Holi, Chaita is the song of Chait in March and April, and Kajari arrives with the Sawan rains, from late June into September.

Durga Puja has its Pachra and Jhijhiya songs. Weddings and births keep songs going all year: Lachari and Jhumar at weddings, Sohar when a child is born.

On Pro and above, lock a festival song at least 14 days before release day so it can be pitched; three to four weeks before the festival is better. A Chhath song that is live in the days before the festival, rather than on the morning itself, gives fans time to find it and share it.

Folk, devotional and traditional Bhojpuri songs

Each track is declared as original, cover, traditional or public domain, or remix. A Kajari, Sohar or Chhath geet sung for generations belongs to everyone, so mark it Traditional or public domain; the recording itself must be yours. A new Chhath song with your own words and tune counts as an original.

A DJ version of someone else's track is a remix and needs permission from whoever owns the original recording. A fresh recording of someone else's song is a cover and needs the song owner's licence: read cover songs before you record one.

On YouTube, only original songs with no samples or non-exclusive beats go on Content ID. Bhajans, aartis, folk songs and other traditional recordings never do. For Chhath, Nirgun and Durga Puja releases, the devotional music guide covers the rest.

Caller tunes and earnings

Caller tunes on Jio (JioTunes), Airtel (Hellotunes), Vi and BSNL are included on every plan at no extra cost. A song people keep as their caller tune earns every month they keep it.

For anyone typing "bhojpuri song upload karke paise kaise kamaye", the plain answer is royalties. You keep 80% to 95% of them depending on your plan, paid in rupees to your bank account or UPI, with statements by track, store, country and month. The royalty calculator estimates what streams and caller tunes could earn.

Questions Bhojpuri artists ask

Can I upload a Bhojpuri song on Spotify and JioSaavn?

Yes. Choose Bhojpuri under Most used when you create your release on SUF Digitals, and it goes to Spotify, JioSaavn, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Gaana and 150+ stores, listed as Bhojpuri.

How do I get my Bhojpuri song on YouTube Music?

It goes there with the rest of your release, and YouTube Music shows it as an art track on your Topic channel. The Topic channel guide explains how that sits beside your own YouTube channel.

Can SUF get my song on Hot Hits Bhojpuri?

No one can promise that, because Spotify's editors choose every song. From the Pro plan up, SUF pitches your release to them when you lock it at least 14 days ahead, and SUF never buys playlist spots.

Can I release a Bhojpuri DJ remix?

Yes, if you have the original recording owner's permission; declare the track as a remix. When the original recording is yours, that permission is yours to give.

Can I release under my own label name?

Yes, from the Pro plan up your own label name goes on every release. On Debut and Rising, releases carry the SUF Digitals label.

Can Bhojpuri artists in Mauritius or Suriname release with SUF?
