What is a smart link?
One link for a song that works for every listener. A fan taps it, picks their music app, and the song opens straight inside that app, ready to play: Spotify, JioSaavn, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Gaana and more. You share one link instead of six.
Does it open the app, or a web page?
The app. On Android the link hands the song to the app itself. On iPhone it uses each store's own app link, and inside Instagram, Facebook and Threads, which normally keep links inside their own browser, Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube are opened through the app directly. If a fan does not have the app, the store's web player opens instead, so nobody hits a dead end.
Do I need to make the link myself?
No. Every release SUF approves gets its smart link automatically, and the go-live email hands it to you. SUF finds the song on each store by its UPC and ISRC and keeps checking until every store has it, so a store that goes live a day late still gets its button. You can also make links for older songs, including songs released elsewhere, by pasting any store link.
What happens before the release date?
The link works from the day your release is approved. Until release day it shows a countdown, lets fans add the date to their calendar, and lets them sign up to be emailed the moment the song is out. On release day the page switches to the store buttons by itself and the email goes out to everyone who signed up.
Can I change how it looks?
Yes. Pick a ready theme or set your own colours, background (your artwork blurred, a colour, a gradient or your own image), button shape, font and button word. Reorder or hide stores, rename buttons, add merch, tickets or any other link, show a 30 second preview and your video, add your social profiles, and choose your own link address.
What do the analytics show?
Visits, unique visitors, taps on each store, the share of visitors who tapped through, countries and cities, phones and computers, and where visits came from: Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook, your ad campaigns or a QR code. Add your Meta, Google or TikTok pixel to measure ads, and download the fans who signed up for alerts.
