How to release a Sindhi song: Spotify, JioSaavn, YouTube Music and caller tunes
By the SUF Digitals team · Updated
Yes: you can release a Sindhi song on Spotify, JioSaavn, YouTube Music, Apple Music and 150+ stores with one SUF Digitals release, from Rs 999 a year plus GST. Choose Sindhi under More Indian languages in the release form. The stores have no Sindhi category yet, so they list the song under Hindi, while your release keeps Sindhi as its language with us.
Yes, you can release your Sindhi songs everywhere
Sindhi is one of the 22 languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, though it has no state-level status anywhere in India. Census 2011 counted about 27.7 lakh Sindhi speakers, a total that includes about 10 lakh Kachchhi (Kutchi) speakers; about 16.8 lakh named Sindhi itself as their mother tongue. In India it is spoken in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra, and the Thareli dialect in western Jaisalmer.
Across the border it is the official language of Sindh in Pakistan, and there are Sindhi communities in Malaysia, Singapore, Oman, the UAE, the UK and the US. The tradition stretches from Sufi poetry and kafi to wedding songs and Ho Jamalo, and young musicians now mix it with western styles, rap, hip hop and jazz.
One SUF release takes your Sindhi song to Spotify, JioSaavn, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Gaana, Instagram and 150+ stores, with caller tunes on Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL at no extra cost.
How to release a Sindhi song
If you searched Sindhi song kaise banaye, the making is your part. These steps cover the release.
- Create your SUF Digitals account and choose a plan, from Rs 999 a year before GST. Whichever plan you pick, you keep 100% of your copyright.
- Add your artist name and your Spotify and Apple Music profile links. On your first release, mark yourself new to the stores, and your artist pages are created with the release.
- Create a release and choose the language, for the release and for every track. Sindhi is under More Indian languages in the language picker. The stores have no Sindhi category yet, so they list the song under Hindi, and your release keeps Sindhi with us. If you would rather be listed under another store language, choose that one.
- Upload a WAV or FLAC master (16 or 24 bit, 44.1 to 96 kHz) and a 3000 x 3000 pixel square cover, JPG or PNG. Try the free cover art checker first: it runs the same checks.
- Credit the singers, composers, lyricists and producers, declare each track's rights and choose the release date: yours to pick from the Rising plan up, or set 7 days after you submit on Debut.
- Submit. SUF checks every release against the stores' rules before it goes out. On release day, share your free smart link, which opens the song in each fan's own music app.
Sindhi playlists on Spotify, JioSaavn and Apple Music
We found no store-run playlist just for Sindhi (as of October 2026), and Sindhi is not among the languages JioSaavn's website lets listeners choose. Because the stores have no Sindhi category yet, they file Sindhi songs under Hindi for now.
A pitch still does useful work. From the Pro plan up (Pro, Signature, Label Pro and Label Enterprise), SUF pitches your release to the editors at Spotify, Apple Music, JioSaavn, Gaana, Amazon Music and YouTube Music, so a Sindhi song goes before the editors of their wider Indian, folk and devotional playlists. When your own fans listen, that feeds Release Radar, Daily Mix and Discover Weekly on Spotify.
Have the release locked at least 14 days before release day: Spotify will only consider a song pitched 7 or more days ahead. The decision is the editors' alone, so placement is never guaranteed, and SUF never buys a stream or a playlist spot. More on pitching.
Titles, script and spelling
In India, Sindhi is written in two scripts, Perso-Arabic and Devanagari; Khojki, Khudabadi and Gurmukhi are historical. Whichever your family uses, write the store title in Roman letters, the way a listener types it into search on a phone, and share the Perso-Arabic or Devanagari title in your release description and in YouTube and Instagram captions.
Your artist name must use English letters (letters, numbers, spaces and . ' & ( ) - only). Settle on a single spelling, since a second spelling becomes a second artist page. Titles cannot carry emoji, ALL CAPS, 'feat.' or promo words (Official, Lyrical, Video Song, Latest, New Song, Trending), and the words on the cover must match the title and artist name.
With the stores listing your song under Hindi, the word Sindhi in your captions and descriptions is what tells fans what they are hearing. People search for phrases like Sindhi song channel, so say plainly on YouTube and Instagram that the song is in Sindhi.
When Sindhi songs are in demand
Sindhi music follows family life. Lada, sehra and geech are songs women sing at weddings, engagements and births, so plan those releases ahead of the celebrations you are aiming at. Hamarcho songs belong to the harvest.
Whatever the occasion, on Pro and above lock the release at least 14 days before release day so it can be pitched, and three to four weeks ahead if it is aimed at a festival or a season.
Folk, Sufi and traditional Sindhi songs
The Sindhi folk tradition includes bait and waee, kafi, dhammal, the harvest Hamarcho, the mourning songs Osara and Paar, and Ho Jamalo, a folk song with its own dance. Devotional music draws on the suras of Shah Jo Risalo, the Sufi poetry collection, and on molood and dhammal.
Nobody owns a traditional folk song, so your own recording of a Ho Jamalo or a wedding lada can be released: choose Traditional or public domain in the rights step. The recording itself has to be yours. Covering a song someone else owns takes their licence, and remixing an existing recording takes permission from whoever owns that recording. See cover song licences and devotional music.
Traditional and public domain songs never go on YouTube Content ID. Only original songs with no samples or non-exclusive beats do, which suits a new Sindhi rap or fusion track that is wholly yours.
Sindhi artists outside India
Sindhi artists in the UAE, Oman, Singapore, Malaysia, the UK or the US can release with SUF as well. In India, royalties are paid in rupees to your bank account or UPI.
Statements break your earnings down by track, store, country and month, so you can see where your listeners are. Caller tunes on Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL come with every plan, Sindhi songs included, and each month a listener keeps your song as a caller tune, it earns.
Questions artists ask
Can I upload a Sindhi song on Spotify?
Yes. Choose Sindhi under More Indian languages; the stores list it under Hindi because they have no Sindhi category yet, and the same release reaches JioSaavn, YouTube Music, Apple Music and 150+ more.
Why is my Sindhi song listed under Hindi on the stores?
Because the stores have no Sindhi category yet, they use the closest language they have, which is Hindi. Your release keeps Sindhi as its language with SUF, and if you prefer another store language you can choose it instead.
Is Sindhi a scheduled language in India?
Yes. Sindhi is one of the 22 languages of the Eighth Schedule, even though no Indian state gives it state-level status.
Can I write my Sindhi song title in Perso-Arabic script?
Not for the store title: use Roman letters so fans can type it into search. Put the Perso-Arabic or Devanagari title in your release description and captions.
Do I need my own Sindhi song channel on YouTube?
No. One SUF release puts your song on YouTube Music along with Spotify, JioSaavn and the other stores, whether or not you run a channel. Here is how songs appear on YouTube.
Can I release a traditional Ho Jamalo?
Yes, if the recording is your own. Mark it Traditional or public domain; it will not go on YouTube Content ID.
I live in Dubai. Can I release Sindhi songs with SUF?
Yes. SUF takes artists from outside India, and pays them by SWIFT bank transfer or PayPal.
