How to release a Chhattisgarhi (CG) song: Spotify, JioSaavn and caller tunes

By the SUF Digitals team · Updated

Yes, you can release a Chhattisgarhi song, or CG song as many fans call it, on Spotify, JioSaavn, YouTube Music, Apple Music and 150+ stores. On SUF Digitals you choose the language under All languages, the stores list the song under its own name, and caller tunes on Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL come with every plan. Here are the steps, the playlist picture and the seasons to plan for.

Yes, you can release your Chhattisgarhi songs everywhere

Chhattisgarhi is an official language of Chhattisgarh, alongside Hindi, with smaller communities of speakers in western Odisha and Maharashtra. About 1.62 crore people gave it as their mother tongue in Census 2011, which counts it within the Hindi group.

Its music runs from the songs of Chhollywood, as the state's film industry is known, to folk forms still sung at home: Pandavani, the Mahabharata ballad, Bharthari, Sua geet, and wedding and birth songs. Online, many fans simply say CG song.

SUF Digitals delivers a CG song with one release to Spotify, JioSaavn, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Gaana, Instagram, Facebook and 150+ stores worldwide, and caller tunes on Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL are included at no extra cost.

How to release a Chhattisgarhi song

If you searched "cg song upload kaise kare" or "chhattisgarhi song upload kaise kare", this is the whole process on SUF Digitals.

  1. Create your SUF Digitals account and choose a plan. Plans start at Rs 999 a year before GST, and you keep 100% of your copyright on all of them.
  2. Add your artist name and your Spotify and Apple Music profile links. If this is your first release, mark yourself new to the stores, and your artist pages are created with it.
  3. Create a release and choose Chattisgarhi under All languages, for the release and for every track. That is the stores' spelling, and they list the song under it.
  4. Upload a WAV or FLAC master (16 or 24 bit, 44.1 to 96 kHz) and a square 3000 x 3000 pixel cover in JPG or PNG. Before you upload, the free cover art checker runs the same checks.
  5. Credit singers, composers, lyricists and producers, declare each song's rights, and set the release date if you are on Rising or above. On Debut it is set for you, 7 days after you submit.
  6. Submit. SUF checks the release against the stores' rules before it goes out. On release day, share your free smart link, which opens the song straight in each fan's own music app.

Chhattisgarhi playlists on Spotify, JioSaavn and Apple Music

As of October 2026 we found no store-run playlist just for Chhattisgarhi on Spotify, JioSaavn or Apple Music, and Chhattisgarhi is not one of the languages JioSaavn's website offers as a setting. There are CG songs playlists on Spotify, but the one we found is curated by a music company, not by Spotify's editors.

A pitch still reaches the editors. From the Pro plan up, SUF pitches your release to the editorial teams at Spotify, Apple Music, JioSaavn, Gaana, Amazon Music and YouTube Music, who also run the wider Indian, folk and devotional playlists. You can pitch one song or a whole EP or album.

Have everything locked at least 14 days before release day; Spotify only considers songs pitched a week or more ahead. Editors choose freely, so no placement is guaranteed, and SUF never buys streams or playlist spots. Streams from your own followers count too, feeding Release Radar, Daily Mix and Discover Weekly. Full details are on the playlist pitching page.

Titles, script and spelling

Chhattisgarhi is written in Devanagari, and Odia script is also used. Write the store title in Roman letters, the way a fan in Raipur or Bilaspur would type it on a phone, and share the Devanagari title in the release description and your YouTube and Instagram captions.

Keep "CG song" for your captions and hashtags, where fans search for it, and let the title be the song's name alone. Titles cannot carry emoji, ALL CAPS, "feat." or promo words such as Official, Lyrical, Video Song, Latest, New Song or Trending.

Your artist name goes in English letters (letters, numbers, spaces and . ' & ( ) - only), spelled the same on every release, because a second spelling would open a second artist page. Words on the cover must match the title and artist name.

When Chhattisgarhi songs are in demand

The weeks after Diwali have two traditions of their own. Women sing Sua songs for up to two months after Diwali, and Raut Nacha, danced in worship of Krishna, is performed at Dev Uthani Ekadashi in Kartik.

The rainy season has its Sawnahi songs, spring brings Fag as part of the Basant geet, and Bihav geet and Sohar geet follow weddings and births all year.

On Pro and above, lock a festival song at least 14 days before release day so it can be pitched, and three to four weeks before the festival is better. For a Sua song, that means having it ready before Diwali.

Pandavani, Sua and traditional songs

Chhattisgarhi folk includes Pandavani, Bharthari, Sua geet, Sohar and Bihav geet, Sawnahi, Baramasi and Fag. Four rights types cover every track: original, cover, traditional or public domain, and remix.

A traditional Pandavani episode or Sua geet belongs to everyone: mark it Traditional or public domain, and the recording must be your own. A new CG song with your own words and tune is an original.

Recording a Chhollywood film song is a cover and needs the song owner's licence (cover songs), and a remix needs the original recording owner's permission. YouTube Content ID takes original songs with no samples or non-exclusive beats; traditional songs stay off it.

Caller tunes and earnings

If your question is "cg song upload karke paise kaise kamaye", here is how a release earns. Royalties come in rupees to your bank account or UPI, with statements by track, store, country and month, and you keep 80% to 95% of them depending on your plan.

Jio (JioTunes), Airtel (Hellotunes), Vi and BSNL caller tunes are included on every plan at no extra cost, and a song people keep as their caller tune earns every month they keep it. The royalty calculator estimates what streams and caller tunes could earn in rupees.

Questions CG artists ask

Can I upload a CG song on Spotify and JioSaavn?

Yes. Choose the language under All languages on your SUF Digitals release, and the song goes to Spotify, JioSaavn, YouTube Music, Apple Music and 150+ stores, listed under its own language name.

Why is Chhattisgarhi spelled differently in the language picker?

The picker uses the stores' own spelling, with a single h after the C, so the name matches how the stores list your song. It is the same language.

Is there a Chhattisgarhi playlist on Spotify?

We found no Spotify-run playlist just for Chhattisgarhi as of October 2026. From the Pro plan up, SUF pitches your release to Spotify's editors for their wider Indian, folk and devotional playlists, with no promise of a placement.

Can I release a traditional Pandavani or Sua geet?

Yes. Declare it Traditional or public domain, since it belongs to everyone, and make sure the recording is yours. Traditional songs never go on YouTube Content ID.

Can I release a cover of a Chhollywood film song?

Yes, with a licence from the song's owner, declared as a cover. Get that licence before you submit the release.

When should I release a Sua song?

Lock it at least 14 days before release day, and ideally three to four weeks before Diwali, because Sua is sung for up to two months after Diwali.
