Claim your artist profile on Spotify, Apple Music, JioSaavn, Amazon Music and YouTube

Claiming your artist profile gives you the keys to your page on each store: your photo and bio, your stats, and on Spotify the editorial pitch tool. You can claim once your first release is live or scheduled. Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists, JioSaavn ArtistOne and Amazon Music for Artists are free, and YouTube's version is the Official Artist Channel, requested through your distributor.

Spotify for Artists
- Wait until your first release is live, or at least delivered with a release date. Your profile exists from then.
- Go to artists.spotify.com, choose to claim your profile, and search your artist name, or paste your Spotify artist link.
- Log in with a Spotify account and fill in who you are (artist, manager or label team).
- Verify. Spotify confirms through your distributor or your linked social accounts. From the Rising plan up, SUF helps with Spotify and Apple Music for Artists claims.
- Once approved, add a photo and bio, set an Artist Pick, and pitch your next release at least 7 days before it comes out: see Spotify editorial pitching from India.
Apple Music for Artists
Go to artists.apple.com, sign in with an Apple ID, search for your artist page and request access. Apple checks the request with your distributor or your social links. If your page is the wrong one, fix the mapping first: see song on the wrong artist profile.
JioSaavn ArtistOne
JioSaavn's artist tool is ArtistOne. Once your music is live on JioSaavn, go to artists.jiosaavn.com, choose the option to register or get access, sign up, search for your artist profile and send the verification request. After it is approved you can update your image and biography and see streams, monthly listeners and where people listen. JioSaavn matters more in India than its global size suggests: it is where JioTunes are set in a few taps, which ties your streams to caller tunes. See JioTunes for artists.
Amazon Music for Artists
Download the Amazon Music for Artists app, sign in with an Amazon account, search for your profile and request access. Amazon confirms with your distributor. The app also shows plays from Alexa devices, which other stores cannot.
YouTube: the Official Artist Channel
YouTube has no claim form for artists. Your distributor requests an Official Artist Channel (OAC) for you, which joins your own channel and the Topic channel YouTube makes from your releases into one verified channel. On SUF, use the OAC request in Support once at least three of your releases are live on YouTube Music and your channel has no strikes. Approval usually takes a few weeks. Gaana and other stores
For stores without an artist tool you can use, corrections to your page, picture or name go through your distributor. Send them in Support with the store link and what should change.
Common questions
Can I claim my Spotify profile before my song is released?
Yes, once the release has been delivered with a release date, your profile exists and can be claimed. Claim it two to three weeks before release day where you can, so there is time to pitch the song at least 7 days ahead.
Do I need a verified badge to pitch to Spotify playlists?
You need a claimed Spotify for Artists profile. Pitching is inside Spotify for Artists, and only one unreleased song can be pitched at a time.
Is claiming an artist profile free?
Yes. Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists, JioSaavn ArtistOne and Amazon Music for Artists are free. The YouTube Official Artist Channel is free too and comes through your distributor.
My claim request was rejected. What now?
Usually the store could not confirm it was you. Make sure the profile is really yours, link your Instagram and YouTube on your profile, and ask your distributor to confirm you.
Can my manager or label claim the profile for me?
Yes. Spotify, Apple and Amazon all let a manager or label team member request access with their own login.
