JioTunes for artists: how to get your song on JioTunes

JioTunes is Jio's caller tune service: the song a caller hears while they wait for a Jio user to pick up. Songs reach it through distributors and labels that deliver to Jio's caller tune catalogue, separately from the streaming delivery to JioSaavn, Spotify and the rest.

On 12 August 2026 JioSaavn announced one-tap JioTunes: Jio users can set the song they are listening to as their JioTune from inside JioSaavn or the MyJio app without stopping playback. Every Jio user gets one free JioTune every 30 days, JioSaavn Pro users get unlimited JioTune changes, and JioTunes Plus offers unlimited JioTunes in a month (JioSaavn announcement).

For artists that removes most of the friction. A fan who hears your song on JioSaavn is a few taps away from making it their caller tune.

1. Open JioSaavn or the MyJio app.
2. Search your song by title and artist name.
3. Tap the three dots next to the song and choose Set as JioTune.
4. Confirm. The JioTune is active on their number.

Caller tunes earn every month a listener keeps your song set, and a share of what the telecom earns reaches the rights holder. Exact rates are set by the operators and change over time. SUF's royalty calculator estimates Rs 1 to Rs 3 per active subscriber a month across telecoms. JioTunes earnings appear in your SUF statement with your other royalties.

• Put the steps in your YouTube description and your WhatsApp status on release day.
• Remind fans that one JioTune every 30 days is free for every Jio user.
• Share your smart link so fans open the song straight in JioSaavn, where the JioTune option is.
